Dr. Ben Connable of RAND gave a great keynote presentation to kick off the third day of the Analytic Support to Contingency/Named Operations and Advancing the Professionalism of Assessments special meeting at MacDill Air Force base. He described how ORSAs, who conduct analyses, are also asked (almost by default) by leaders to conduct assessments at the tactical, operational, and campaign levels. Ben was followed up by meeting co-chair LTC Marv King, who talked about the current state and future of assessments.
