Brian M. Kelly is a Change Management Consultant and Program Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton. He has been supporting multiple clients within the Office of the Secretary of Defense for almost a year now, to include the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Researching and Engineering (ASD R&E) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Brian is a proud Navy veteran, having served four years (2013-2017) as a Surface Warfare Officer before entering the GovCon space. He graduated from the George Washington University with a degree in Middle East Studies in 2013.

I joined MORS because I wanted to find an environment that allowed me to exchange techniques and ideas to help me provide decision-quality analyses to help solve customers’ national security challenges.

What’s an OR problem you find complex or interesting?

“In a general sense, an OR problem I find particularly complex is conducting historical research surrounding the trends exhibited by foreign OEM’s, the impact it has on Foreign Military Sales and the subsequent demand for mission support services.”

Welcome to MORS Brian!  The linkage between OR, history, and foreign policy is ripe for exploration and broad enough to keep you busy for several decades.  For the linkage between OR and history, be sure to talk with Alan Zimm and Jack Keane (both at JHU/APL).  For the linkage between OR and foreign policy be sure to talk with Pat McKenna at STRATCOM.  Hopefully you can meet all three at Monterey in June.
