investigated on random color images. Thus, the local minima-maxima values were projected iteratively and computed by using of Hill Climbing algorithm.

Achievement : In Hill Climbing Algorithm, the initial value for calculating near-local minima and maxima of pixel values were calculated from the median value inter-between the least and highest number of occurrences of color pixels in the image.

Description: The Objectives of this investigation for detection of spontaneous combustion of coal seam by measuring the temperature factor through thermal image processing technique only are indicated as follows:

o Processing the obtained thermographic image to generate an intelligent alarm series for

providing a statutory warning about the potential risk of beginning of spontaneous combustion in coal

seams

o Segmenting the thermal affected regions and detect the boundary of those areas according to the

temperature variation indicated by different color patterns in the thermal image of heated coal

o Locate the thermal anomaly point in coal seam.
