Working Groups are the core organizational units of MORS and form the foundation of the annual MORS Symposium. Each Working Group is led by an Advisor and Chair and is supported by a small team of Co-Chairs.
Many members begin their involvement as Co-Chairs, where they assist with reviewing abstracts, recommending submissions for acceptance, contributing to the group’s annual mission statement, and moderating Symposium presentations. Training is provided in the fall in preparation for the upcoming Symposium. After gaining experience, Co-Chairs may progress into Chair roles within one to two years, offering a clear pathway to leadership.
